What you do
Working with minimum supervision, the incumbent will proactively identify new design applications and production methods for brochures, events, wedding ceremony packages, and multimedia design as well as implement existing methods and means to achieve design goals. The incumbent also conceives and produces the design and layout that reflect innovative thoughts as well as fulfill the request and requirements of clients.
The Duties
- Designing unique and visually appealing wedding invitation designs for clients.
- Creating visual assets for marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and online ads to promote the company's services to potential clients.
- Designing wedding day collateral such as menus, table cards, seating charts, and other decor items.
- Editing and retouching photos of events to be used in the company's portfolio or on social media.
- Designing graphics for social media posts and creating engaging social media content for the company's platforms.
- Creating promotional videos of past events or promotional content for social media platforms.
- Creating highlight reels of event photos and client photos that showcase the best moments of the day.
- Collaborating with other wedding vendors (florists, photographers, etc.) to ensure that visual elements of the event are cohesive and on-brand.
- Managing and organizing the company's digital asset library, ensuring that all files are properly labeled and easily accessible.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest graphic design trends and technologies to ensure that the company's designs are modern and fresh.
The Requirements
- A degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience in graphic design.
- Strong proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- A portfolio of previous work demonstrating a range of design skills and styles, with a focus on wedding/event design.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as the role requires working with clients and other wedding vendors.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other designers, photographers, and vendors to ensure the success of events.
- Attention to detail and a strong eye for design, with a focus on creating visually appealing and cohesive event designs.
- Flexibility and adaptability, as the role may require working long hours and weekends during peak wedding season.
- A passion for the wedding and events industry, with a desire to create unique and memorable designs for clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
