About The Role:
We're looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to join us to support our Design and Graphics team. The role will require working across all sections of both The Daily and Sunday Telegraph as well as designing digital assets.Working directly with the creative director on new projects, branding and other initiatives, this role encompasses a breadth of work covering product and print design. The successful candidate will influence how design can be used across a variety of channels and promote a rich tradition of typographic application.
Key requirements::
- Creating effective design solutions for branded campaigns
- Adapting to a wide range of print and digital briefs
- Collaborating with motion designers, developers and members of the newsroom
- Be self-motivated and be as comfortable working alone as well as in teams
- Awareness of design and typographic trends
- Adopt and develop the Telegraph’s visual standards
- Propose and present ideas to senior staff
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Must be an enthusiastic and dedicated graphic designer, with a desire to exceed expectations
- Basic level understanding of responsive web design and current trends in social media
- Strong grasp of all Adobe software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Manage personal workflow and be able to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills in order to liaise with different areas of the business
