We are looking for a passionate, motivated and ideas led Designer to join and support our team. The main responsibilities will be; designing content, packaging, retouching, flyers, weekly email marketing and maintaining brand guidelines for our range of websites. Working alongside the creative photographer your daily role will be varied. You will be expected to work in a fast paced environment on a range of interesting projects with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Managing design projects from initial concept to final delivery.
- Help ensuring our new website is launched with our external web development team at Orderwise. (Website near completion)
- General maintenance of website imagery including resizing, editing and uploading
- Creating fresh, shareable content to generate web traffic and sales
- Provide general support to creative team with design facility and assets available on-site.
- Checking all artwork/Packaging Is print ready and to a high standard before sending to print
- Taking Time to review the photography work produced in the studio for brand packaging
- Working and reviewing the work undertaken by the photography department to ensure standards are maintained.
- Management of tasks and projects, ensuring milestones are met and progress monitored.
- Creating and preparing print-ready artwork and materials including packaging, instruction manuals, brochures, flyers, posters and much more.
- Creating a range of promotional material, including flyers, event banners, newsletters, limited range brochures and catalogues.
- Creating digital and online-focused assets such as web banners for the company websites, social media imagery, online guides, blogs and other publications and imagery.
- Designing email campaigns and analysing previous campaigns to determine fails and successes in order to maximise sales. This accountability will use marketing analytics to optimise and update campaigns for maximum reach and success.
- Creating and amending official company documentation, signage, stationery and presentations, to a consistent, professional standard.
- Creating professional and medium-appropriate branding, including logos for different kinds of media, variations for marketing campaigns and other required branding design.
- Monitor and review competitor activity and keep up to date with the latest trends in design and marketing.
- Liaising with internal photography, sales, web design and buying teams for consistent branding and ensuring work meets the highest possible standards.
- Liaising directly with printers, ensuring high quality products are produced within budget.
- Ensuring all artwork meets requirements and brand guidelines, including consistent branding, design, sizing and technical specifications/measurements (in collaboration with other departments).
- Generating ideas for new brands, packaging and brochures.
- Staying current with social media trends and latest technologies to ensure the widest reach possible for our services.
- Image retouching, adding dimensions to imagery, ensuring a consistent standard to product imagery used for print and online materials.
- Assist the wider creative team with any ad hoc projects as required.
You should be highly motivated, with creative flair, excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
The ideal candidate would have:
- A genuine passion for design, branding and layout
- Approx. 2-3 years plus experience in graphic design
- 1 years plus experience in web design and email marketing
- A degree in a related discipline (such as graphic design) would be highly preferable
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- Be able to work on your own and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Experience in managing social media accounts would be advantageous
- Experience with online marketing software such as Bronto, Mailchimp or Dotmailer would be advantageous
- Strong portfolio which shows experience with a range of design programs and materials
- Experience in web development (html, css, php, asp.net) would be advantageous
- Experience in project management and management of small teams would be advantageous

Salary: £24,500.00 per year
