Junior Artworker / Graphic Designer

We are looking for a determined and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic production team located in Tonbridge Kent. The role requires someone with a good eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in pursuing a career as an artworker / designer.
You will be part of a dedicated friendly team reporting directly to the Studio Manager, so this is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to enhance their career and gain experience working in an ambitious, forward-thinking environment.

The Role
Moving through the training process and beyond, you will be:
Liaising closely with our internal account managers
Checking, amending and pre-flighting artwork to ensure that it is suitable for our specialist product designs and the intended printing processes.
Creating proofs for customers to approve
Checking colleagues’ work as they will check yours
Occasionally undertaking other duties of a similar nature to help the wider business.
Strictly following the procedures of our quality and environmental system
Ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
The ability to work well as part of a team.
Being computer literate with an interest in or understanding of graphic design software such as Adobe CS or other relevant software
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills
A flexible attitude within the workplace
A reasonable standard of Maths and English.
Training Provided
You will work closely with our highly skilled studio team; full training will be provided in:
Pre-Press art working for specialist print product.
Setting up files & preparing layouts for print
Working with pre-press/finishing software
Adobe CC - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
The print industry and Repro processes

- Tonbridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
