Working closely with the graphic design manager to provide an in-house graphic design service for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust by:
- Creating concepts and visual materials in a variety of formats for print and digital use to support internal and external campaigns and core communication activity
- Working with the wider organisation to develop creative and cost-effective solutions to a wide range of design briefs
- Maintaining a consistent look and feel to all design work in line with local and national brand guidelines.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced graphic designer to join a friendly, talented and committed communications and design team, on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We need someone who can hit the ground running, working at pace in an ever-changing situation and is able to prioritise a busy workload. You’ll need to have a creative flair and create visual materials that really stand out.

Working within a friendly fast paced, talented and committed in-house communications and design team.
To create professional and engaging graphics for print and digital use including leaflets, posters, banners, social media graphics and templates.
Provide and receive complex information from senior managers to persuade, motivate and negotiate. Communicate and influence senior managers on design options utilising the available technologies which can be complex.
Liaise with external suppliers and printers to provide, seek and review quotes to purchase materials/buy print, ensuring the most cost-effective outcome is achieved but balancing this with quality control.
To implement processes and procedures to ensure the graphic design function operates efficiently.
To develop and maintain templates for use by communications colleagues and the wider staff team.
To manage and oversee the consistent roll-out of the Trust’s corporate identity.
Manage the creative services email inbox, advising on brand guidelines and
implementing the Trusts corporate identity.
Interpret complex information, and briefs by using insight, evaluation and
analytics to target a range of audiences.
Specialist and advanced knowledge of all graphic design software and Microsoft 365 (office).
Work collaboratively with the communications team, and influence and mentor team members when required.
To undertake editing and retouching of photographs as required.
