Graphic Designer

Pacific Western Transportation is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics and promotional materials for the entire group of companies.

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.

What you bring

• Degree or diploma in Design, Fine Arts or related field
• 2 - 3 years of relevant, proven graphic design experience
• A strong portfolio of original graphics
• Deep understanding and knowledge of design software and technologies such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
• A keep eye for aesthetics and details
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to handle constructive criticism
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

What you’ll do

• Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral, including posters, brochures, advertisements, social media graphics, signs, reports, recruitment pieces and other communications materials
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications
• Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects
• Coordinate and consult with internal teams, including other members of the Communications Centre for Excellence, in the design concept phase through completion of a project
• Coordinate with printers to complete projects
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
