Job description : The position of graphic designer also comes with excellent long term prospects for the right candidate, allowing them to elevate their career to the next level. The role involves graphic design but also the unique opportunity to broaden the applicants knowledge and capabilities within a digital print room.
This really is a position where you can change peoples lives by what you create. We are totally focused of our market and are looking to expand our range and capacity.
We currently run various machines which include the following wide format digital printers and related equipment:
Roll to roll sublimation, flatbed direct to garment, flatbed UV, roll to roll UV, roll to roll latex. Other equipment used: Roll to roll heat press, laminating machine and plotter etc.
We are currently investigating 3D printers, again for in our industry and this would be part of the role.
Good communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise directly with some of our customers.
The successful candidate will need to have a good graphic design knowledge and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In design etc.
As with our whole business, this is a fast-paced environment where speed and accuracy are essential.
Tasks / responsibilities will include:
- Working along side our team and help train our apprentice
- Learning to and operating printers
- Learning to and operating the heat press
- Packing
- Learning to and maintain printing equipment
- Working with purchase orders
- Follow instruction/procedures and work in a professional, safe, efficient manner
- Communicating with customers
Skills/Qualifications required:
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Organised
- Be practically minded
- Able to prioritize
- Excellent communication skills
- Recognize that attention to detail is paramount
- Ability to multitask
- Demonstrate good levels of IT knowledge and using Office programs
- Must be able to work independently but also importantly work as part of a team.
- Good levels of Maths, English and ART
- Must be reliable, professional and punctual
It is vitally important that you have at least 5 years experience in this environment.
Hours of work will be from 8:00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Friday with 30min lunch break. Start date ASAP
