Kelly Deck Design is a growing residential interior design firm located in Vancouver's Armoury District. Our studio is a vibrant mix of talented professionals who thrive in a light-hearted and creative environment. (http://www.kellydeckdesign.com).
We are looking for a passionate intermediate interior designer with at least 3 years experience to join our team. This position will begin on contract and has a high probability of turning into a full time, permanent position.
You’ll spend your days:
- Working with the team to develop concepts for beautiful, luxurious interiors.
- Madly drafting your ideas using Autocad into full Construction Drawings which comply with the BC Building Code
- Specifying, specifying, specifying
- Working with Architects, Consultants, Clients and The City to coordinate ideas, drawings and specifications
- Designing and sourcing furnishings/art and accessories
- Delegating elements of your projects to junior team members and overseeing their success and failures
- Empathizing with the Client through emails, phone calls and meetings

You have:
- A passion for interior design and architecture
- 3-5 years experience in residential or hospitality interior design or architecture
- Degree or equivalent in Interior Design or architecture
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Exceptional working knowledge of Google Sketch Up and Adobe Suite
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong working knowledge of the BC Building Code
- Excellent knowledge of residential construction
- Experience producing extensive drawings for finely detailed interior construction and millwork
- Extensive experience in working with high end and luxury driven clients
- Access to a vehicle/valid BC drivers licence
- Ability to multi-task many different projects and tasks
