Indigenous Reflections is seeking Graphic Designers to work on several types of projects, including packaging design, poster design, educational product design, and book creation, both illustration and layout design.
Education
A Fine Arts or Graphical Design degree is desired, but not required.
Expert proficiency with Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
Computer Skills – skills in, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs.
Typical Duties
At various times, the Web Graphic Designer will be responsible for the following:
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
- Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
- Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall benefit of the project.
- Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches is desired, but not required.
- working on layouts and art to get projects ready to print.
- Working as part of a team with printers, other designers, web developers, and Editors.
- Creating designs for products and packaging to match.
- Working with writers and editors to complete books.
