EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required; College Degree Preferred
- Passion for Graphic Design and a life-long learner.
- Experience mentoring or educating youth (especially teens 13-19)
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), animation, and an overall a good eye for design and visual arts
- A problem solver and creative thinker. Will come with new ideas and be ready to execute them.
- Ideal candidate has previous experience with classroom instruction and/or facilitating lessons in specialized fields
- Candidate must be very responsible; organized & demonstrate positive communication skills
- Ideal candidate is personable, energetic, & enthusiastic.
- Candidate must successfully complete the following: NYSDOH Fingerprinting Screening; New York State Clearance Review Background Check; and a 3 Reference Check
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with all students while remaining professional at all times and be able to motivate the students while setting an example in all areas, including timeliness, attendance and most importantly, professionalism
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with all staff and participants while always remaining professional.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Note: This position is once a week.
- Creating enriching lessons and curriculum around all aspects of graphic design for high-school teens 13-19
- Delivering weekly lesson plans prior to activity.
- Creating supplies list and purchase order purchase for required program supplies.
- Implementing and facilitating lesson plans and curriculum throughout the year for high-school teens 13-19
- Responsible for supervising all participants particularly during activities
- Ensuring safety of all participants if club is done outside
- Maintaining classroom space in an organized and clean fashion
- Reporting any and all incidents/ injuries and maintaining log
- Assist with all aspects of programming (i.e. following organizations mission; supervising all youth, working collectively and communicating with all staff)
- Take initiative to guide program participants through your curriculum and manage group leaders as seen fit
- Maintain program supplies and proper use of all
- Help enforce all rules and regulations and codes of conduct
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- Graphic design: 2 years (Required)
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
