The Department of Education & Early Childhood Learning is seeking two highly skilled and motivated individuals to fill two term Desktop Publisher/Graphic Designer positions within the Business Support Services Branch of the Corporate Services Division.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in desktop publishing using advanced functions of Microsoft Word in a Windows environment.
- Extensive experience in desktop publishing using Adobe InDesign in a Windows environment.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Professional.
- Experience formatting and/or designing complex documents.
- Experience proofreading documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience working with confidential information to manage controversial and politically sensitive situations.
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Access) or similar software/database applications.
Desired:
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French.
Duties:
Reporting to the Coordinator of the Information & Web Services Unit, the Desktop Publisher/Graphic Designer uses advanced functions of desktop publishing and graphic design software programs, combined with creativity, artistic ability, and graphic design knowledge, to desktop publish complex and high-profile print and electronic materials such as assessment and curriculum support documents, posters, newsletters, and brochures for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning. The incumbent provides technical support to colleagues throughout the department.
