Graphic Designer and Shop Assistant

Fire Press is seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our growing business. As a Graphic Designer and Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing our customers' experience while contributing your creative skills to our design projects.
Job Specifications:
* Position: Part-time (16+ hours) with potential for increased hours in the future
* Required Qualification: Graphic Design degree or Apprenticeship
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
* A strong passion for branding and print-based design, with a focus on editorial and typography
* Keen eye for detail and consistency
* Knowledge and interest in social media posts/web/SEO would be highly advantageous, but not essential
* Open-mindedness and willingness to learn and grow alongside the business
* Previous customer service / design experience would be an advantage, but not necessary (perfect role for a graduate)
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist in day-to-day shop operations, including customer service, till operations, stocktaking, packing orders, and maintaining cleanliness
* Address customer queries and provide quotes for individuals and businesses
* Design logos, branding elements, and print-based materials such as business cards, gift vouchers, pricelists, brochures, etc.
* Collaborate on the creation of new prints and stationery for the shop and online stores, such as weekly planners, calendars, invitations, greeting cards, etc.
* Manage online administration tasks on our website and e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Etsy
Remuneration:
This is a permanent position with a starting salary of £12 per hour (reviewed annually) Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn commission on designs made and sold both in-store and online.
