POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Original FARM is a leading cannabis retailer that empowers the customer to take the best-informed decision by delivering a thoughtful and innovative customer experience. We are cannabis educators, sharing our passion and acquired knowledge with every nature of customers.
We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and production, with experience in creating high-quality designs for a range of marketing and branding materials. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Head of Brand, Managing Director and Vice President of Sales to produce engaging and visually appealing designs that propel Original FARM’s brand while meeting project requirements and deadlines.
PRINCIPal DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, design, and edit various materials using assets within the brand guidelines for print, instore, and digital collateral
- Assist in designing the appearance and layout of websites and web applications.
- Manage and maintain a library of design assets, ensuring that files are properly named and organized.
- Assist in the creation and optimization of content for the website using a variety of graphics, illustrations, animation, and other media
- Develop and adhere to style standards on typography and design
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications, timelines, and budget restrictions
- Perform retouching and manipulation of images and/or animations
- Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
- Ensure that designs are consistent with brand guidelines and meet project requirements and deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
- Experience with print production and preparing files for print
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Keen eye for composition, typography and colour theory
- Strong understanding of brand identity and construction
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Strong communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Keen understanding of communicating and elevating brand via design
