Career
We’re looking for a creative designer to nurture and develop our brand and visual identity within a well-established, national financial planning and wealth management firm.
This role would suit someone looking to work in-house and focus on a single brand and enjoy the variety of working on a broad range of digital and print assets. If you enjoying being playful and can take our brand and with it explore new ways to express who we are to our clients and improve every touchpoint this is the home for you.
You do not need a background in our sector, but you will need to be sensitive to the target audience and consider the needs of our client base.
About the role
You’ll be joining a small but tight-knit multidisciplinary team, reporting into the Head of CX and Direct Client Marketing.
We have HQs in London (South Bank), and Bristol, and a further network of regional offices from Newcastle down to Lymington. We typically work a few days in the office and a few days from home.
Our clients are successful professionals, business owners and retirees who’ve worked hard to build up savings, investments and pensions. We support them through face-to-face and digital financial advice that helps them realise their life goals. We put together a portfolio of investments to meet their needs and attitude to risk and often maintain decades-long relationships.
Our industry can be complex, but we don’t have to be. We’re looking for designers who can craft beautiful things and simplify complex information for our clients.
What you'll get to do
- Create materials to roll out to 70+ advisors supporting them in their day-to-day meetings with clients, both online and offline in clients’ homes.
- Boost our digital presence with assets that enable us to communicate with clients in a more succinct and engaging way.
- Work on bespoke, one-off designs for our high net worth (HNW) clients.
- Support delivery of an end-to-end digital marketing campaigns or client events.
- Provide targeted support to CX projects.
- Support colleagues to realise their ideas and create scalable design solutions.
- Deliver on-brand collateral and assets, in print and digital formats
- Digital (not limited to): adverts, social assets, email, presentations, landing page designs, infographics
- Print (not limited to): invitations, brochures, welcome packs, accessible format documents, posters and banners for events, merchandise
- Develop the visual brand e.g. building up a bank of on-brand imagery
- Ability to engage with and bring investment content to life
We are open to hearing from people early in their careers with the full skillset, but the ambition to show how it could positively support a growth business. We want that blend of talent vs the ability to work to client briefs. We’re also open to more experienced designers looking for a more flexible role.
Skills and Experience
- A portfolio of design work.
- Proficient in design software e.g. Adobe CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Figma.
- Pragmatic and practical approach e.g. working with MS Office when needed to support a wider audience.
- An interest in new creative tools and AI to support design (e.g. Runway.ml, Tome, Midjourney).
- Basic video editing and animation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisation skills (e.g. tidy files).
- An interest and/or experience in WCAG and designing for accessibility.
- Can accurately estimate and manage your time to meet deadlines.
- An openness to learning more about the subject matter i.e. personal finance, investments.
