Job description
Duties:
- Working with external design and development teams to drive projects forward
- Provide graphic design support on an array of tasks
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts
- Creation of templates for social media and email content
- Assist with web design projects, including creating graphics and optimizing images for online use, using adobe creative suite apps such as XD
- Present design concepts and ideas to team members for feedback and approval
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
- Knowledge of layout design principles and best practices
- Understanding of print production processes and requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback into designs
Desirable:
- Currently pursuing or have already completed a degree in graphic design or a related field
- Experience working with website designs.
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment, assisting in the creative direction of a growing start up. You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the overall creative process. The internship has the opportunity to extend into additional hours and/or a permanent role following successful completion of the fixed term period. Initially, hours will be flexible based on business needs, and be based on 1 day of working per week.
