Job description
We are looking for 2 operatives on a fixed term contact to join the Grain and Silo cleaning team for our client in Tarrant Gunville
Our clients offer a seasonal farm and commercial grain store cleaning service operating across the South of England, primarily in the Counties of Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
The Role Will Involve:-
- Removing the dust and debris of the previous stored crops, as part of hygiene program to prepare the stores ready for the new harvest crops.
- Working as part of a 5 man team, stores are cleaned using a combination of high pressure air lances and vacuum.
- The work is physical and will on occasions be hot and dusty. It would not suit candidates with a history of breathing issues such as Asthma or those with allergies to Dust, Grain etc.
Full training and independent certification is provided for – Working at Heights; Confined space safe working; Powered access platforms; Alloy Tower erection; Manual Handling and First-aid.
Qualifications for you to keep that can be used across a wide range of industries.
Contract period runs from Late-April to Early/Mid- August, depending on the harvest progress which refills the stores being cleaning.
Working hours – Monday--Friday 06:00-18:00; Saturday. 06:00 – 14:00
Excellent Hourly base pay + end of contract Bonus
On site subsidised accommodation for the duration of the contract is available at the premises near Blandford, if required.
Occasionally due to distance, overnight stays may be required. In this case we pay for accommodation, Travelodge or similar, and provide an overnight allowance.
Contract length: 4 months
Expected start date:24th April 2023. Initial 1 week of paid training and induction
Full safety and workwear is provided.
Pay rate is £12.00/hr + £3.00/hr Contract completion Bonus, paid at the end of the contract period. It is dependent on the operator remaining for the whole contract period without incident.
