MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
In our Workday Extend team, we build extend applications for Workday customers and deploy these applications to their Workday environments. We are a diverse and rapidly growing team. As a Graduate Workday Extend Developer in Kainos, you will be creating custom solutions for the Workday system (https://www.kainosworksmart.com). You’ll be responsible for quickly defining problems and customer needs, and then proposing appropriate solutions and their implementation. This role gives great independence in designing solutions and a variety of tasks. Remote contact with the client allows for quick communication and the possibility of dynamic project development.
Upon completion of the 12-month Early Careers Programme, you will have gained knowledge and skills to help transform the organization and set you on the path to becoming the next generation of leaders at Kainos. Fun fact - 11 of our 17 leadership team members have graduated from our Early Careers Programme!
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
Currently studying, or already completed, a Bachelors degree in an IT or Computing related subjectEnjoy working as part of a team
Knowledge of least one object-oriented language and have been programming for some time, but programming alone is not enough for you;
Knowledge or want to gain knowledge of solutions based on Cloud Computing technologies, general rules of software testing, and you have had the opportunity to work with databases;
Enjoy close cooperation with the client - including high-level managers
Desire to build a portfolio of completed projects in cooperation with prestigious companies from the Fortune 500 ranking - thanks to that getting to know how business works from the inside;
Enjoy a variety of tasks, working autonomously and demonstrate effective time management
DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of any front-end technologies, XML, XSLT, XPath, XSD;Experience in projects using Web Services, Cloud Computing, and databases will be an asset.
