MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:

As a Graduate Workday Consultant (General) you will be responsible for supporting the successful specification, design, configuration, testing and deployment of enterprise scale Workday solutions. This will be done by working with customer business and technical teams, as well internal Workday and Smart delivery teams within the Kainos Workday Business Unit.

Your primary activities will be to understand and translate customer requirements, define service scope, and shape, configure and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable for our customers’ Workday and Smart projects. Hands-on product configuration may be required for this role.

You must have a keen interest in developing a career in consulting, and depending on your skills and experience to date, you may be suited to work in one or more of the following areas – Workday Human Capital Management (HCM); Financials and Change Management.

HCM – Partner with our clients HR team to review existing processes such as how they conduct performance reviews, then design and build an appropriate solution to support their team and that process within Workday.

Financials – Work alongside our clients Finance team to help assess their current processes such as their end-to-end contracts process and then design and build an appropriate solution to support their team and that process within Workday.

Change Management – Support the design and delivery of Change Management activities in a Workday environment, including change and user adoption, process re-design and insights and analysis.


Within Workday at Kainos, the expectation is for our staff to be adaptable and be able to rotate within various Workday teams depending on business needs.


Typically, you will have a background in one or more of the following disciplines -

Business, Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Marketing and STEM.


The Early Careers Programme will develop your consulting skills and have you working in one or more of the following areas – Workday Implementations to deploy Workday for new customers, Workday Application Management Services to support existing clients, and Smart Services to build and run automated testing.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently studying or have completed a degree in a relevant technical and/or business subject, eg. Engineering, Business, Human Resources, Finance, Economics and IT/Computer Science.

  • Some understanding of the Workday or Cloud delivery methodologies including the relevance of different stages of the project lifecycle

  • Good communicator, you will be willing to assume a customer facing role, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients

  • Capable of working within teams and alongside customers, as well as on your individual tasks with limited supervision. Able to manage your time effectively and record it accurately

  • Able to apply all relevant standards and procedures to your own work, maintaining high quality and accuracy at all times

  • Aware of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensure security of information at all times

  • Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services specifically Consulting and Application Management Services

  • For Application Management Services, able to deliver work to meet defined Service Level Agreements

  • Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)
