APSL is part of Arrow Global Group. We are seeking a Graduate Trainee to join our growing legal team in Manchester.
We are a market leading team of specialist solicitors. Our teams have held senior positions in large private practice partnerships and understand the commercial and compliance pressures that legal advisers deal with.
The Restructuring & Insolvency team at APSL were finalists in the “Insolvency Law Firm of the Year” category at the Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency Awards held in London in December 2022.

The Role
You will be required to develop technical skills together with your commercial and interpersonal skills to be successful in this position. The role will see you working with our clients across the UK.
About You
This is a role which would suit a graduate with at least a 2:1 (achieved or expected) looking to qualify as a solicitor who is able to work autonomously and is very commercially focused. LPC/SQE funding/loan available for the right applicant.
You will be a confident individual who is self-motivated, goal-driven, and entrepreneurial.
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have at least some vacation experience ideally gained from a commercial law firm;
- is seeking to forge a career path outside of a traditional private legal practice into a more commercial role;
- is a good project manager;
- Strives to deliver best in class service levels on all opportunities and assignments and adopts a flexibility of approach which suits the circumstances of the case;
- Enjoys working autonomously in a dynamic environment, while working collaboratively with the wider teams across geographies;
- Possesses analytical skills and has a keen eye for detail;
- Demonstrates commercial acumen and has the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
- Has an interest in business development and;
- Is a competent Microsoft Office user, specifically in the use of Word and Excel and either has experience in or a willingness to learn how to use, for example, court filing and hearing bundle software.
