Job description

We are looking for a Trainee Resourcer to join our newly centralised recruitment team. This will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract and is ideal for a recent graduate who is looking for their first step into recruitment or human resources ( a degree education is not essential).

As a growing area of the People Portfolio, there are lots of exciting openings that can offer long term growth and development. This is your chance to use your natural affinity with people to attract and engage with the support workers of the future.

Previous recruitment experience is not essential as we will provide all the training you need to be a confident Resourcer. Your role will be crucial in helping to shape the future of recruitment at Hft and support our attraction and selection strategy. We want to hear from individuals with enthusiasm and ideas to help us recruit high calibre staff.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside a Recruiter and Recruitment Business Partner you will be instrumental in sourcing and selecting candidates for a variety of vacancies with a strong focus on support workers. Ensuring that advertising platforms are monitored closely, that applications are processed efficiently and suitable candidates have a positive and seamless journey through Hft’s recruitment process will be your main responsibilities.

A typical day will involve inputting vacancies on to various job boards, pre-screening candidates and using your knowledge of Hft to assess if they will make a great new hire. You will be scheduling and conducting interviews (alongside a Recruiter), scoring written assessments and handling all the associated administrative tasks. Hiring Managers will be keen to hear your thoughts and you will play a key part in helping them to make important hiring decisions.

Who are you?

With previous experience in either an administrative, customer focused or recruitment role, you’ll be an excellent communicator and will enjoy influencing and engaging with candidates to promote the benefits of working for Hft. With an eye for detail you will take pride in your work and have good verbal and written English skills. Strong time management and organisational skills are key as this is a fast-paced environment, where you will be expected to work towards activity targets. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is essential and knowledge of social media and digital platforms is an advantage.

What’s in it for you?

  • Full training on all aspects of the role will be provided to ensure that you achieve success
  • You will be part of a friendly and inclusive team that supports every team member and encourages you to have your voice heard
  • You will have the satisfaction and fulfillment of knowing that you are playing a key role in securing high quality staff to ensure that Hft’s supported people enjoy the best life possible

We offer

  • As a ‘Gold’ standard Investors in People accredited employer, we are committed to supporting colleague wellbeing as a priority. All Hft employees get access to the LifeWorks – the world’s biggest 24/7 colleague counselling and support service. It is completely free for all colleagues to use in complete confidence, whenever and however they want to access it.
