Graduate Trainee (Governance, Risk and Compliance)

Why your role matters
We are Marlowe plc, comprising a Testing, Inspections and Certifications (TIC) division and a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) division generating c. £550m revenues.
Our GRC division generates c. £200m revenues and c. 2,200 colleagues. Operating in a high growth market, we plan to grow GRC with continued investment in sales, marketing and product capabilities and further acquisitions.
To achieve this, we will be creating a new GRC leadership structure involving a CEO (GRC), CFO (GRC) and the respective Managing Directors of 4 different GRC business units. Over the months that follow, we will be working through several important areas across GRC including:
strategic plans for each of those B2B business units (organic and inorganic)- co-ordination of several high-profile projects across GRC
- generation of new reporting formats for the business units
Collaborating with the leadership team, the successful candidate will bring additional focus, skills, and energies to help ensure that these projects are successful.
What you’ll be doing?
The role will be varied and challenging, but it will be a great opportunity for the candidate to work with an experienced senior leadership team as they oversee the execution of a high growth business plan.
This is not your typical Graduate Trainee role, this is strategically focused role, where you’ll support the (GRC) senior leadership team in several core areas, including planning and reporting, projects & initiatives, governance and internal communications. This isn’t a role in which you’ll be doing the same thing daily, so we need someone that is comfortable mixing things up and able to think outside the box.
In addition to your strategic support to the (GRC) senior leadership team, you’ll also work closely with the Executive Assistant to the (Marlowe) CEO to ensure the smooth running of our London office.
What are we looking for?
Ideally you’ll be a graduate with minimum 2:1 qualification. If you have some experience of a corporate environment, that would add to your credentials however that is not essential.
You should be able to understand, analyse and develop data insights, and be confident in developing and communicating reports and templates.
You’ll have outstanding communication skills and a naturally inquisitive nature, with a professional, articulate, energetic and can-do attitude.
Where you’ll be working
This is an office-based role, based in our prestigious offices in London (SW1X); there may the occasional opportunity to work at home and the need to work from other office locations around the UK.
