Within Siemens Mobility Digital Station Solutions and Railway Communications portfolio the SCADA engineering team delivers digital solutions to meet the needs of the passenger, operator and infrastructure owner within High-Speed Rail environments.

We enable improved throughput and savings on OPEX with tailored digital station solutions. The effective operation of railway stations and improved passenger flow have a significant impact on the availability of mobility services, passenger throughput and passenger experience. Our digital station portfolio aligns with these key performance indicators and combines all of our products and services for railway stations and integrated route wide operational control systems.

  • Engineering Delivery Lifecycle activities (e.g. Design development and factory/site implementation, build, test, commission, operate, maintain, decommission/disposal)
  • Operating within a Systems Engineering Lifecycle process methodology approach (e.g. requirements, configuration, validation, verification, assurance)
  • Covering various aspects of engineering (e.g. Safety, Cybersecurity, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Performance, Risk, Change Management)
  • Engineering Delivery methodologies (e.g. Modelling, Agile, Fail Fast, Integration, Interface)
  • Multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. Hardware, Software, Product, Application, Tooling, Power, Physical, Logical)
  • Working within a digital engineering environment (e.g. BIM - Abstract Modelling, Physical Modelling, Digital Twin, Automation)

The Candidate

We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in (automation & control, system engineering, computing, electrical/electronic, software engineering degree subjects)
  • You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
