Job description
Join our team! This is a unique two year opportunity to join our Horticultural Team as an Assistant Horticulturist in the Glasshouses, Alpine Yard, Nursery and associated areas of the Botanic Garden. Responsible to the Team Leader (Glasshouses and Nursery) the role holder is responsible for caring for those specific areas of the Garden and its plant collections.
In particular we are looking for a candidate with relevant horticultural knowledge (particularly in relation to propagation) and practical experience to fulfil this role in order to assist the team in ensuring that the collections are developed and maintained to a high standard. The collections and areas within this role are popular with visitors and are an important resource for research and education purposes within the Garden, University and the wider botanical and horticultural community.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
