Job description
About the role
The Faculty of Theology and Religion is seeking to employ a Graduate Studies and Examinations Administrator to join our small and friendly administrative team.
Your primary responsibilities are concerned with all aspects of graduate admissions, from initial enquiries by prospective students to provision and awarding of scholarships. Examinations administration is also a key part of the duties in this role. You will work closely with the Faculty’s Director of Graduate Studies, and with colleagues in the Humanities Division, particularly the divisional Graduate Studies Administrator who is responsible for on-course administration for graduate students in the Faculty of Theology and Religion.
You will be expected to contribute proactively to the development of administrative procedures and policies and to work closely with the Director of Graduate Studies to ensure the delivery of the graduate studies strategy.
Remote working is negotiable, but you must be able to work on-site on a regular basis. The role includes 38 days’ leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and Faculty closure days, pension and excellent benefits. The Faculty is committed to developing colleagues both personally and professionally.
About you
You will have a good standard of education (A-level or equivalent), proven administrative skills, and strong numeracy and IT skills. You will be well-organised and self-motivated, with excellent written and oral communications skills, and enjoy working as part of a team.
If, for any reason, you have taken a career break or have had an atypical career and wish to disclose this in your application, the selection committee will take this into account. The selection committee will also be mindful of the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic may have had on candidates’ careers as a result of additional caring responsibilities or other factors.
