As an engineer, we want you to use your growing knowledge of backend architecture and our business to design and develop elegant solutions that make a complex problem seem simple. Most of our current efforts are focused on new greenfield projects to help improve our customer experience as well as automate & optimize internal processes. You breathe the Agile manifesto and will embody the "Contract first", "You build it, you run it" and the "Automate everything" concepts - from design through implementation, all the way to supporting your code. You will be working in one of the agile teams of 5 engineers to ensure we can bring an amazing and best-in-class customer experience to all our users. As part of our micro-service architecture, you will use and influence the latest tools and practices (including continuous deployment, infrastructure as code) and we will look to you to continue bringing in cutting edge tech - we always aspire to use the right tool for the right job. Our current stack is a mix of Java 17 microservices, MariaDB, Docker, AWS, Lambdas, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ and more. Desired Skills & Experience As a graduate you will have have some of the following skills under your belt, whilst being keen to develop others Technologies: Java 17 Spring Boot Docker Amazon AWS (EC2, ECS, Route53, S3 or any others) Swagger RabbitMQ (or similar) Elasticsearch (or similar) OO concepts and techniques ReST Methodologies: TDD/BDD Agile development Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment Experience with the following is a plus: Infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) Using Unix systems / shell scripting Dynatrace Gitlab Redis NGINX Location and Logistics We currently work on a hybrid working model with 2 days a week in the office and 3 others days where you feel most effective. The application process This will consist of an HR screening followed by a 2-stage interview with the tech and product teams with a small exercise between each stage.
