Job description

  • Our Technology teams work in Python, C++, JavaScript, and various other languages, databases, and platforms. As a graduate at Squarepoint, you will work with senior technologists to build and design quality production software and systems.
    Position overview
    You will join a highly accomplished team of professionals focusing on evolving our technology infrastructure. As a junior software developer, you may work on projects such as:
    • Designing and implementing algorithmic trading frameworks and executing market data and market connectivity infrastructure across global markets,
    • Building the frameworks, tools, and platforms which make up the underlying infrastructure used by all of our technology teams,
    • Developing high quality risk management frameworks and trade reporting systems to enable greater visibility for our quantitative analysts and traders,
    • Scaling our ability to integrate, study, and leverage thousands of varied datasets to generate uncorrelated returns across new and existing markets or asset classes,
    • Building quality full-stack applications used every day to oversee and manage billions of dollars' worth of daily trading activity across global markets
    Each of these areas forms a vital component to the overall success of Squarepoint's technological vision.

    Responsibilities
    • Hands on development of our software systems, platforms, and infrastructure, with guidance from senior developers
    • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to collaboratively gather requirements and feedback
    • Understand and own applications in production, and provide support where necessary to ensure smooth round-the-clock operations
    • Take command of your own learning and professional development: take full advantage of our learning and development initiatives, attend relevant seminars and conferences, and of course learn on the job every day
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
    • Excellent programming skills
    • Proficiency in at least one of: Python, C/C++, JavaScript, or similar languages
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and frameworks
