Do you want to be part of building and launching a new business? Bosch is preparing to launch its new solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) product in the UK & Ireland. The SOFC system will be an integral part of the future energy network, being able to operate on a multitude of fuels including carbon free hydrogen. We are working with partners to bring this system to the market.
To add to our entrepreneurial team, we are looking to recruit a graduate trainee on a 2 year placement. This is an exciting role for the correct candidate, who will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell division, gaining sales experience, product & project management, technical knowledge, service strategy and working with potential partners bringing a valued contribution to the product release.
As a graduate trainee, you will be provided with an understanding of the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell product and a broad overview of the working teams involved in bringing it to market. Working alongside each division within the team to develop proficiency and knowledge, you will have an opportunity to develop a wider understanding of energy modelling and integration. You will bring a positive and flexible approach and be expected to integrate and work closely with the UK teams, as well as the central German team, transitioning between the departments when required. The role is a 2 year placement, helping to steer key messaging, develop the market and being part of bringing this exciting product to market.
Support the sales team, process and customer/consumer routes to market. Creative, entrepreneurial, and a positive approach.- Ability to adapt to new business model processes to help advance the SOFC strategy across a variety of end users.
- Confident to relate technical information when required.
- Flexible and able to move between the different areas of the SOFC department, Sales, product & project management, marketing and service while developing knowledge of the product, business landscape and having the ability to work between multiple divisions simultaneously.
- Organised and methodical approach to project management and the timeline required to bring the SOFC to market.
- Has an interest and understanding of the UK&I energy landscape and the potential of Natural Gas/Biogas/Hydrogen
- Available to attend and support various exhibitions and conferences in the UK&I
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree, ideally in renewable energy, product / strategy management, or similar
- Able to work independently on set tasks and schedule workload
- Able to demonstrate high attention to detail
- Good understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Innovative and flexible, having an agile approach to work
- Able to work from the Manchester office

Additional Information
The role will be based in our Manchester office, working remotely when possible. You may be required to travel (UK wide, Ireland and Germany) when required to ensure you can carry out your duties.
Please note the start date is flexible.
In this role you will be sponsored to undertake a level 7 course (Masters Degree) in a related topic from a government approved scheme. You will have full company support in completing this.
