MAIN PURPOSE OF FUNCTION:
To support the Department in the performance of their duties and to assist with the general running of the practice.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A pleasant and positive manner in dealing with people, by telephone and in person.
- A pleasant and positive manner demonstrated by previous work experience, recreational and leisure interests.
- Proficient in use of computers and IT.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist initially the Personal Injury file holders (or Team Member(s) they are allocated to)
More specifically to undertake all aspects of running the case alongside the File holder
Focus on client care; attend the accident locus where necessary; draft letters; draft witness statements; prepare Court documents and Schedules of Loss; Attend conferences with Counsel; Submit documents via the Portal; archiving; contacting clients and liaising with medical agencies.
Liaise with the file holders to work on cases to achieve the maximum compensation for the client and costs for the firm.
To develop relationships with new clients, medical experts and Counsel.
To work within a team environment.
To assist with New Client Co-ordinator as and when required.
Legal research.
To undertake such other duties as the Firm may require in the interests of delivering effective legal services to clients and provide support to colleagues within the Firm as necessary.
To carry out his/her duties so as to implement positively the Firm’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £19,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
