West Pier Studio, an information technology and services company located on the seafront, invites dynamic and creative individuals to join their team as a Graduate JavaScript Game Developer. This is an excellent opportunity for people who have recently graduated or are in their early careers to work with seasoned developers and gain exposure to the entire development process from design, development, and deployment. The successful candidate will get to work in a lively, fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web-based games using JavaScript and other related web technologies
- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and project managers to develop games that meet the client's expectations
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during the development process
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code that is easy to understand and maintain
- Optimize and enhance games to ensure they run smoothly on different web and mobile platforms
- Research and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends in game development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to enhance products and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
- Experience with game development frameworks and libraries such as Phaser, PixiJS, or Three.JS
- Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Passionate about game development and desire to stay updated with the latest industry trends
- Ability to communicate with team members effectively and collaborate on projects intricately.
