Geocore Site Investigations Limited part of RSK Group are a site investigations contractor delivering work nationally and specialising in the investigation of domestic subsidence providing detailed site surveys including foundation inspections, drainage CCTV’s and Geothermal boreholes.
We now have an opportunity to recruit a Graduate Geologist in Redcar, UK
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with site investigation work across the UK as directed by the Project Manager or other project staff. All project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by the RSK procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and time scales agreed. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with other project staff and sometimes the client periodically with updates & any issues raised.
More specifically you will be:
- Working alongside geotechnical professionals; sampling, investigations and evaluations
- Coordinating and supporting teams of site-based drilling personnel
- Working both outside and office based throughout the year
- Applicants will be expected to work on site in varying locations around the UK
- Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
- Collating data and report writing
- Managing site activities and subcontractors
Experience:
- Be degree qualified, or equivalent, in a geotechnical related subject (geography, geology, civil engineering or similar)
- Demonstrate a practical problem-solving attitude and strong work ethic
- Display common sense, maturity and strong team-working skills
- A full UK driving licence is essential
