Job description
We help holidaymakers love their journeys
We’re the first tech platform for flight-free holidays. We help people experience the joy of journeying through lesser-known parts of the UK and Europe by train, boat and bus, and are proud to be a certified B Corporation. Founded in March 2020, we’ve raised £2.3M in government grant funding & from angel investors and regularly appear in mainstream press from the Times to the Guardian. We have 97% five-star reviews, are growing 7x year on year, and have no plans to slow down until flight-free travel is mainstream. Join us to get our seamless and personal flight-free travel to a wider audience. Help to blaze a trail in sustainable, authentic and conscious travel!
We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join our team, building the world’s first platform for flight-free holidays.
As a Graduate Front End Developer, you will help us to deliver key functionality with a great user experience. You will collaborate closely with our back end team to deliver key features to our customers. We’re a small, fast-moving and fast-growing company, so there’s huge potential for growth in this role and beyond. Your code will make a difference to our colleagues and customers daily: your impact will be direct and visible. You’ll report directly to our CTO, Rich Levy.

- Develop code to interface with our dynamic packaging technology
- Create internal tools and APIs to support our teams
- Work with our growth team to develop and A/B test different iterations of the UI/UX

What we’re looking for
- Experience writing high quality React code
- Great front end skills including mobile-first development with an ability to convert designed visuals into high performance, responsive components
- Experience calling JSON/REST APIs and working with authentication/authorisation systems
- Experience surfacing new features and functionality across cross-functional teams
- An ability to balance speed of iteration and quality of code: we need to build fast without compromising on reliability and usability but sometimes done is better than perfect
- Great communication skills: you can convert business requirements to code and explain complex technical concepts to the business
What would be great (but isn’t required)
- Experience of Next.js, Typescript and/or Storybook
- Experience of DevOps and agile processes
- Experience of working in a startup or fast paced environment
- An interest in accessibility
