Graduate Forensic Technology eDiscovery Birmingham Autumn 2023 Birmingham, England

PwC
Full Time Birmingham, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

We use technical and business knowledge to solve our clients’ problems. And because we offer so many different technology services we need people with different experiences to help us deliver them effectively. Digital is the new normal, transforming how we work and live.

At PwC, as we focus on future innovations, we’re investing in the best and most diverse workforce of today and tomorrow. We’re pushing forward with the use of technology within our own business - enabling our people to work more efficiently and collaborate more easily. All this is part of our commitment to put technology at the centre of our strategy as we continue to help our clients navigate the future digital landscape.

Graduate programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

Forensic Technology

Our Forensic Technology team helps clients manage vast amounts of electronic data and helps to locate the key emails, mobile phone evidence and electronic documents needed to investigate complex, fast-paced issues often in the public eye.

Prevention is even better; knowing where vulnerabilities are and managing the risks involved. When disputes or regulatory investigations arise, a timely resolution relies on organisations being prepared. And this is what we help our clients with every day.

eDiscovery

Searching the personal computer and smartphone of an executive suspected of intellectual property theft, or identifying emails containing evidence of price fixing are the kinds of challenges we tackle every day as part of the team within one of the largest dedicated forensic technology practices in the world. In simple terms, we specialise in providing the technology skills required to respond to crisis events such as legal disputes or regulatory investigations.

What you'll do

You will work alongside industry-recognised specialists in computer forensics, electronic discovery, information governance and disclosure. Much of our work centres on the analysis of large volumes of electronic data. And because we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, you’ll be constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies. Our engagements frequently involve us working in cross-border teams alongside regulators, legal advisers and across other parts of our wider business – providing opportunities for international travel too (subject to government advice/guidelines).

What you'll gain

When you join the Forensic Technology team you’ll receive training in a wide range of technical and non-technical skills. Through project work and training, you’ll gain skills to allow you to apply cutting edge techniques to solve complex challenging problems and apply smart data-driven solutions to our clients’ issues. As part of your role you could be detecting fraud, insider trading or employee misconduct, or working alongside lawyers on litigations and regulatory matters.

What you'll need

If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems, we would be interested in talking to you. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at other PwC offices or client sites across the UK or overseas on a temporary basis (subject to government advice/guidelines). You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in a STEM related subject (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths) and demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
