We are looking to appoint a Junior/Graduate Environmental Scientist to join our Seed Ireland team. The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and develop their consultancy and project management skills and be part of a successful team.
You will be mentored by an experienced team both on and off-site to develop your skills in project management, remediation design, technical report writing, client communication and gain an understanding of the commercial aspects of successful environmental project management.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and develop themselves.
The role will involve working on projects across Northern Ireland and Ireland so we need someone who is adaptable and can travel when needed.
Responsibilities include management of specific project aspects and supervision of staff working on oil pollution and contaminated land investigations and projects, in domestic and commercial environments including technical management, cost appraisal, scoping and timetabling of projects.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally you should have some direct experience or an understanding of the environmental services and consulting sector or demonstrate relevant transferable skills/experience.
Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering/ Management /Science or similar subjects desired or at least 2 years + experience ( for junior role) in same or similar field.
Ability to identify, analyse and interpret problems effectively and determine appropriate action for their solution based on sound judgement and available resources.
Excellent organiser with effective written and oral communication skills.
Team working skills but with the ability to work on your own is required.
