Peak Associates Environmental Consultants was founded in 1994 and since then has been working all over the UK on projects in the following areas; river and water pollution, sizing of small sewage works, trade effluent, foul and surface water drainage projects, flood risk, contaminated land and waste.
Our mission is to provide our clients with scientifically based solutions to environmental problems driven by the regulatory sector. In the areas detailed above, we work to obtain permits and consents or discharge conditions relating to them.
Due to expanding workloads, a number of opportunities have arisen within the company for an experienced Graduate to join our multi-functional and Investors in People (IIP) accredited team at our Warrington or Lancaster office. Successful candidates will be working within a multi-disciplinary organisation across a range of interesting projects in the areas listed above, and will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience at Peak Associates.
The role will include, but not necessarily be restricted to:
- Obtaining and analysing desktop (search returns) data;
- Undertaking site survey work;
- Preparation of data and plans for use in technical reports;
- Assisting with the Research and Development programme;
- Manage relations with clients;
- Liaising with consultants over lab supplies and requirements;
- General filing and updating appropriate records;
A good first degree in a relevant subject is vital, this includes Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, Chemistry, Maths etc. A year's industry experience is also necessary, this can be via a placement year or current role. While full training will be provided throughout the job, experience in using AutoCad would be a distinct advantage. We offer a competitive salary and generous benefits, including pensions, flexible working and profit sharing scheme with a salary range of £24,000 - £27,500 for this position.
