Graduate Environmental Advisor

We are looking to hire a full time graduate to work on our construction projects based within London and the South-East. This is a great opportunity to learn in a fast-paced environment amongst a young and growing team.
The successful candidate will work within the sustainability team shaping and delivering the groups environmental activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist and update project specific documents as and when programme of works requires including Construction Environmental Management Plan.
- Assist in the application for Section 61, statutory authority permits and licences for all Midgard and JRL project sites.
- Assist in ensuring all plant on site is compliant and registered on the NRMM portal (London projects)
- Review weekly environmental checklists, and risk assessments carried out by Project Manager
- Carry out monthly environmental inspections on Midgard and JRL project sites and factories.
- Predominantly based on site to provide onsite advice and review compliance
- Review and issue monthly environmental report including eKPIs for client & BREEAM reports
- Assist in delivering environmental training to staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilities.
- Assist in implementing and auditing the EMS (ISO 14001) across all group companies and sites
- Assist with the environmental aspect of CCS inspections – providing site-relevant information, innovations and attend CCS monitoring visits when required
- Keep up to date on all environmental legislation, supporting group compliance. Compile evidence as required
- Assist sustainability team to report against annual environmental targets as part of the JRL Group sustainability agenda and improve our environmental impact
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or similar
- Literate in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills
