Our Engineering Development Program is a challenging opportunity for you to gain a breadth of knowledge about the many processes that make up the operations of Howmet Engine Systems. Additionally, you will gain a better understanding of how our organisation operates and how our people work together to solve problems.

Job role:

  • Continuous improvement and maintaining processes
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and root cause analysis
  • To implement and maintain best practice through data driven engineering decisions
  • Work within the Engineering Team to build and maintain performance monitoring dashboards
  • Develop metrics and autonomous reporting tools that utilise real-time data
  • To implement and maintain best practice through data driven engineering decisions
  • Program manage and execute engineering projects / assignments

Key responsibilities:

  • Build production scrap pareto charts and identify key yield improvement opportunities.
  • Support the Engineering team with requests to investigate specific data trends.
  • Analyse and disseminate data to relevant audiences.
  • Serve as link between information and application functions.
  • Work closely with the on-site I.T. team and wider support function, to create real-time links to data and reduce reliance on manually populated tools or unsupported platforms.
  • Interaction with engineering staff to understand technical requirements and resolve issues
  • Understanding of Quality Tools and their practical application

The role will provide the opportunity to work for up to 6 months in another Howmet Engines location


Requirements:

  • Degree / HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, ideally with a data science bias
  • Experienced in SQL and Microsoft Power BI and building dashboards utilising data from multiple systems.
  • Hands on experience manipulating and applying advanced statistical analysis methods to real-world data
  • Communication and Team working skills
  • Must hold relevant right to work documents.
