Job description
Key responsibilities include:
- Gather site information including utility data, field measurements, metering data, and service reports to generate baseline energy consumption models and identify key variables influencing energy usage.
- Review the energy performance analysis for proposed projects to determine the viability of success in achieving the associated energy or carbon savings including safety margins using spreadsheet-based calculation programs.
- Agree M&V strategy with clients and prepare M&V plans in accordance with the International Performance, Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
- Support clients, internal Ameresco teams and subcontractors with introduction presentations, knowledge sharing and data gathering support.
- Monitors savings at frequencies relating to project performance risk and in accordance with M&V plan and strategy to ensure energy savings measures perform as intended at the time intended.
- Coordinates with Project Manager, Operations & Maintenance team and service contractors to identify energy saving shortfalls where applicable, investigate causes for savings shortfall and propose mitigating action to ensure performance against contracted targets are maintained
- Create tools to process and store data to allow for scalable analysis and insight reporting on large quantities of data.
- Effectively summarise, report and present the findings of analysis to applicable audiences, using data insights to support the business in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce, distribute and present monthly, quarterly, or annual Measurement & Verification reports to clients in accordance with requirements of the M&V plan.
- Document data, information and evidence related to Measurement & Verification reports in a presentable manner, ensuring all records are maintained and easily accessible under audit.
- Perform other M&V, O&M and compliance and associated business support duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be a minimum second year undergraduate studying an engineering degree
- Have already covered some modules related to energy, renewables, or decarbonisation
- Be able to demonstrate a keen interest in the decarbonisation sector

Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good verbal, written and computer communication skills.
- Understanding of engineering principles associated with large scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving expertise.
- Strong organisational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple teams.
- Experience with one or more programming languages i.e. Python (Analyst) is a plus
