If you're looking for an exciting opportunity in tech, tombola is the place to be. Our software teams are large and diverse, with a range of experience levels. We're proud of our unique culture, which prioritises personal growth and progression.
As a recent graduate, we’ll provide you with everything you need to develop as a technologist, from training to mentorship opportunities; you'll have a support network of mentors from around the business to help you learn and understand our processes and dynamics. And if you ever have questions, your support network will be there to help you out.
In fact, our unique business model means that we manage all of our software teams in house which, as we mentioned, means our Tech department is pretty vast, so there's alway opportunity to learn new skills along the way. Our Graduate Developer role offers you an opportunity to choose which team you want to work in, it’s a role tailored to your chosen career path and development - and that’s why we think it’s so great!
We love a good time, too - there are plenty of opportunities for socialising with the rest of the tombola team, whether it's board game nights, virtual poker nights, or food and drinks at the local bowling alley.
Our software teams include…
Game Development
We live and breathe games and design and develop them all in house. Being a part of game development you will have the opportunity to learn how to build new and exciting games. If you like the sound of working closely with developers, animators and designers to bring to life the latest innovations in our games using things like TypeScript, Pixie and you want to learn how to build the most polished of UI/UX then this is the place for you.
Game Engine Development
If maths and statistics really floats your boat then our Game Engine Development team may just be the place for you. Here you will learn how we build our game servers, building high throughput distributed systems that manage our odds-based games using things like C# and AWS.
Platform Development
If you’re interested in learning all about the platforms the games are built on Platform Development could be suited to you. Distributed web and cloud solutions are built using things like Nodejs, C# .Net and AWS (and lots of other stuff).
DevOps Engineering
Being part of our DevOps Engineering teams will teach you how to build and maintain the significant distributed cloud and data services that all of tombola is built on. If you’re interested in cloud technology, like AWS, and orchestrating fleets of servers and services then this is the place for you.
We're looking for recent graduates with good communication skills, a desire to learn, and a willingness to suggest improvements. We value giving our players the best possible experience, so if you want to help shape our software solutions, join us at tombola!
So apart from the chance of a lifetime to grown, develop and make a real impact, what else is in it for you? Take a look at our benefits page to learn more, but a quick snapshot would include;
