Graduate Data Analyst (Development - Acquisitions and Disposals)

In this role you will support all activities to maintain, update and verify the Asset Appraisal Model (AAM) to ensure MTVH can review all assets appropriately, using existing data. You will assist in the appraisal of assets to provide recommendations and solutions for future use, considering retain, refurbish, repurpose and release. You will also assist to critically analyse assets to support Corporate Objectives and Strategies.

You will work in an open office environment with moderate noise, Agile working, in multiple locations and remote working. Operate a computer and telephone keyboard, Sitting at a computer terminal for an extended period of time, Specific vision - close vision requirements due to computer work.

What we expect of you:

  • Assisting with implementation and delivery of tasks related to maintaining the AAM including management of the AAM, its data and users to ensure that MTVH utilise the model to best advantage.
  • Work to review housing and property related data, including reactive and planned maintenance budgets, void information as well as other financial and non financial performance measures to assess MTVH stock alongside the Asset Appraisal and Data Manager.
  • Review and interpret data to support our Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), Asset Management, Housing and Development Strategies, both at scheme and individual levels.
  • Able to utilise tools to provide NPV calculations and ability to model scenarios, identify poor performing assets and develop options for investment / divestment.
  • Support the team to develop a strategic approach to appraisal methodology that supports a programme of retain, refurbish, repurpose and release, delivering best outcomes for our business and customers.
  • Work alongside external agencies and consultants in a professional manner to help to ensure risk, programme and costs are effectively controlled within agreed parameters.
  • Utilise PowerBi effectively to report appropriately on data and a general intermediate / advanced level of IT skills will be required.
  • Ability to use a range of IT systems to collate and support the data model, becoming a Super User in this area.
  • Undertake appraisals for the various workstreams of the team, ensuring that they meet the required standards for reporting.
  • Build great relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, promoting collaborative and positive working processes and a culture of customer service excellence.

Skills & Experience:

  • Enthusiastic approach to data and property.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake data related tasks.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Intermediate / Advanced IT literacy skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Power BI).

Some knowledge of statistical techniques, data manipulation and reporting tools and methodology would be an advantage.
