Auger are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team in Wallasey as a Data Analyst, providing insights that will support decision making for our clients and leaders.
The successful candidate will become part of our expanding Business Improvement Department, responsible for the analysis, visualisation and presentation of data to colleagues across our business and external insurance company clients.
The role will provide a range of development including the attending external training courses to broaden your knowledge in key areas, alongside gaining experience of managing projects and stakeholders within the organisation.

We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have a keen interest in learning the key concepts and tools involved in Data Analysis i.e. the analysis and visualisation of data through SQL and Power BI – Prior knowledge not required.
- You are proficient in the use of Excel.
- You are interested in creating effective data visualisations and presenting their narrative to relevant stakeholders.
- You have the curiosity and creativity to identify and solve problems.
- You enjoy being challenged and using your initiative to bring forward new ideas and drive innovation in our processes.
- You are analytical, logical and have an excellent level of attention to detail.
- You enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues.
- You have the confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- You have good written communication skills.
You will be supported not only by your colleagues within the Business Improvement Department but also our senior leadership team who will give you the guidance and development opportunities you need to be successful in the role.
Training includes but is by no means limited to:
- Use of SQL Server Management Studio – in order to cleanse and analyse data.
- Use of Power BI – in order to produce visualisations that effectively present data.
- Communicating ideas and findings from analysis in written and verbal form.
- Underground service-specific technical skills in drainage, water mains and subsidence.
- Project management.
Prerequisite:
- A clear basic DBS check
