We are looking to recruit graduates who are enthusiastic about driving a sustainable, net-zero future, with a focus on developing strategies to reduce carbon emissions and optimize operational energy consumption of infrastructure, encompassing its construction, utilization and end of life phases, through effective carbon management and decarbonisation plans.


You will be developing your technical skills through taking on a variety of complex projects as well as being supported in the development of your softer skills through our early careers learning and development program: ‘The Learning Curve’.


What you will learn with us


  • Supporting across public and private sector client’s portfolio carbon management plans/decarbonisation strategies and interventions
  • Supporting public sector decarbonisation scheme (PSDS) applications
  • Supporting real estate portfolio asset review and optimisation projects associated with operational energy and whole life carbon.
  • Developing and supporting life cycle cost (LCC) assessments associated with operational energy use and carbon emission reduction interventions.
  • Leading the delivery of energy and carbon management and net-zero road map planning and strategy projects.
  • Reviewing project details, engaging with clients and developing targets for sustainability strategies.
  • Reviewing documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project’s targets and provide feedback or follow-up.
  • Effective data management including setting up and maintaining project databases and project evidence trackers.
  • Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members.
  • Producing high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Attending site visits to conduct surveys of the building fabric, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as existing renewable energy strategies.
  • Attending site visits to review progress against various sustainability targets.
  • Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.
  • Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practices and processes.
  • Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.


What you will need to succeed?


  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent in the built environment
  • A passion for innovation and problem solving.
  • Humility, self-motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • An understanding of the construction industry and built environment.


We are also keen to know if you can offer any of these attributes


  • Additional languages that you are fluent or able to apply professionally, as well as English.
  • Full UK Driving Licence


Also, any academic knowledge of:


  • Environmental design, environmental science or sustainability-related disciplines.
  • Building industry, sustainability and/or material science.
  • Planning, environmental impact assessments or wider sustainability legislation.
  • or technical ability in environmental-related disciplines.
