This is a permanent Hybrid Position based out of our Sheffield Head Office.
From Internet connectivity and smart building technology to IT and data centre services, ASK4’s solutions bring buildings to life. Working with clients across student housing, build to rent, later living and other sectors, we ensure that people are able to live life and work productively.
You’ll work as part of the Commercial Finance Team providing support to the Head of Commercial Finance with financial planning and analysis (“FPnA”), and business partnering activities across the organisation.
The role will provide support to the business in understanding both current and future performance, which will directly influence decision making. This role will require intellectual curiosity and is perfect for a passionate individual who is looking to learn and improve in the role.
For the right candidate, there is potential to support you through a professional qualification (E.G Accounting qualification).
What you’ll be doing:
- Support with the annual budget, and quarterly reforecast processes, by liaising with senior stakeholders/budget holders and maintaining the financial model used by the business.
- Assist with the development of new automated financial planning tools.
- Analyse and communicate financial performance vs budget / reforecast on a monthly basis, to assist with monthly performance reviews.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities to the budget / reforecast.
- Provide financial support to several departments in assisting with ad-hoc tasks which involve financial assessment and appraisal (akin to “business partnering”).
- Prepare and analyse financial and non-financial KPIs.
- Support with cash flow planning.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of:
- Strong academics including an undergraduate degree (2:1 or better) in a relevant area.
- Experience in financial analysis and budgeting/forecasting processes is desirable.
- Analytical and methodical in approach to tasks.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PowerPoint also desirable).
- Highly organised whilst also able to work flexibly to meet targets and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial and creative mindset with an ability to assess the ‘so-what’.
- Knowledge of core accounting principles is desirable.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
