Established in 2003, GRM is a leading CAE-based consultancy providing analysis, design and testing services to the engineering community. Key to its success has been progressive growth whilst ensuring the highest level of service is provided to customers, delivering reliable yet cutting edge analysis services. Due to continued expansion of its consultancy activities GRM seeks a Graduate CAE Engineer to support the delivery of client projects.
The Graduate CAE Engineer role is open to enthusiastic and forward-thinking graduates who wish to join a dynamic and expanding organisation. The role will involve working with GRM's clients in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, medical, motorsport and many more. Your exposure to a large range of engineering problems will be unique. Guidance and support will be provided by more experienced analysts with development opportunities readily available. The role is based at the company's Leamington office and you will report to the Engineering Director.
The Candidate
You will have 1 or 2 years’ experience as a CAE Engineer or will have recently achieved an upper second class or higher degree from a well-respected University, with modules including finite element analysis. It is probable that you will have undertaken a sandwich course and have some knowledge of CAD and/or CAE systems. You will be looking to gain experience of stress and impact analysis methods and be keen to further your knowledge of structural simulation techniques. You may also have gained analysis experience using some of the following software packages: LS-Dyna, Nastran, Genesis, Abaqus, Optistruct, Ansa, HyperWorks, LS Pre-Post or Animator. Training will be provided to allow you to gain a full understanding of the appropriate software.
Remuneration
This is a permanent role with a company pension and remuneration appropriate for this level within the industry. The salary will be dependent on your degree and industrial experience and will be in the range £25k to £30k. Further details about the company can be found at our website.
