The position

Welcome to the dynamic world of Global Operations Technical Excellence (OTE) at Equinor! Our diverse team, based primarily in Aberdeen, consists of people covering various disciplines. As a member of this team, you'll support the Key Account Manager for Other Countries, focusing on assets such as Mariner in the UK, Bay du Nord in Canada, and offshore Titan in the US.

Our business area plays a critical role in supporting Equinor's strategy by providing essential technical support and guidance to maximize the value and production efficiency of assets.

We prioritize technical integrity work to ensure the ongoing safety of assets. Furthermore, we evaluate the overall risk landscape to minimize major accident risks. As we strive for a low-carbon future, we use our broad skillsets to prioritize sustainable solutions while maintaining safety.


You can expect the following responsibilities and tasks in the field of Process Engineering:

  • Provide day-to-day support to offshore and onshore plants in the UK and abroad, gaining practical experience and expanding your process engineering skills.
  • Contribute to technical support and integrity tasks for operation, maintenance, and modifications across our global assets.
  • Participate in major projects and modifications, from feasibility studies to execution, commissioning, and start-up, both locally and internationally.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, gaining insights into other engineering disciplines and exploring the possibilities enabled by process engineering within Equinor's extensive technical network.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, perform technical calculations, execute specific work scopes, contribute to technology development, and take advantage of networking opportunities within the process discipline.

  • Bachelor’s, master’s degree or PhD with strong academic record within Chemical or Process Engineering. Other applicable degrees will be considered.
  • Completed degree by the year of starting (2024).
  • No more than three years of relevant fulltime work experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Formal experience is not a requirement.
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage.
