UK ATHLETICS
GOVERNANCE AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Remuneration commensurate with experience and qualifications
35 hours per week as required on an all-hours’ basis
Location: Midlands, Hybrid Working Arrangements
UK Athletics (UKA) is seeking to appoint a Governance and Executive Assistant, the role will:
- Work closely with the CEO and Company Secretary to support all areas of the governance of UK Athletics, including the Board and its sub-committees, the Executive leadership team, the UKA Members and the Athletes Commission.
- Provide a professional and efficient personal administrative support to the Chair and CEO of UK Athletics (UKA).
- Provide secretarial support to UKA subgroups and committees, and the Athletics Unified working groups, ensuring that they are equipped to discharge their responsibilities with confidence and with timely information and support.
- Provide a professional receptionist service (virtually or in person) during Monday to Friday normal business hours for all staff, visitors and callers.
The ideal candidate will have gained the key below experience and skills:
Experience:
- Extensive experience of successfully working in a senior administrative and/or personal assistant role.
- Managed administration processes and enabled them to continually improve.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment, fulfilling a range of duties.
- Experience of working and managing multiple tasks and priorities at the same time, to ensure everything is achieved.
Specific Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must offer exceptional customer service and communication skills including ability to remain polite and professional under pressure.
- Must have the ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to manage own time effectively and prioritise workloads.
- Confidence to respond to queries, provide advice to staff and represent the organisation.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills required and attention to detail is essential.
- Outstanding IT skills and familiar with the latest systems.
- Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint (utilising Think Cell etc.).
- Excellent shorthand and/or the ability at taking/produce professional meeting minutes.
