Job Description
To ensure the effective and efficient supply food, goods, and equipment to the kitchen and peripheral areas. To comply with food safety and health & safety regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving deliveries of food and other goods. Inspecting goods for quality and food safety.
- Breaking down deliveries, sorting them, and moving food and goods to the appropriate kitchen areas.
- Taking food safety information such as product temperatures. Accurate recording of food safety due diligence information.
- To ensure all operating and, food safety and health & safety standards are followed at all times.
- Assisting the Logistics Manager and Back of House Supervisor in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all back of house catering functions.
- Receiving client goods, logging items in the internal mail system, answering the telephone and emailing clients when goods have arrived.
- Setting up and breaking down events, function rooms, and cooking equipment such as BBQs.
- Moving heavy goods and equipment safely around the business.
- General cleaning and dishwashing tasks in support of the wider business.
Qualifications
- Must be hard working and willing to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, internally and externally.
- Demonstrates a high level of organisation and time management.
- Supportive team player.
- Excellent record keeping.
