The Deloitte Private Research & Insights Manager (DPRIM) supports data collection, manages thought leadership publications from production through to deployment, and develops thought leadership content across multiple campaigns and channels.

DPRIM key responsibilities include:

  • Work alongside the DPHI and senior leadership within the firm to develop, plan, and execute global thought leadership agendas and initiatives.
  • Coordinate key projects and data collection processes for each study, performing market research to identify differentiated approaches, conduct technical analysis, and manage daily operations of the Deloitte Private research and insights pipeline.
  • Design executable and credible research studies consistent with Deloitte’s professional standards, ensuring reports are based in credible qualitative and quantitative methodologies and focused on unique insights and findings.
  • Formulate tactical business recommendations for an executive audience, while ensuring the projects are properly conceived, structured, focused, of high quality, and address the needs of the relevant segment/clients.
  • Align multiple research activities with Deloitte businesses, industries, regions, and client partners – e.g., to respond to client inquiries on studies.
  • Liaise with internal and external subject matter experts to research and synthesize new perspectives, write publications, and plan ongoing future studies.
  • Liaise with Deloitte Private Global marketing team to develop content strategy and marketing plans to drive marketing community engagement.

Education/experience qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Professional / research experience.
  • Prior experience in quantitative and qualitative primary research, thought leadership, journalism.
  • Experience publishing written work for a professional audience.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a virtual team.

Research qualifications:

  • Experience applying a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to confirm hypotheses and research questions and develop unique insights for an executive audience, including survey design, building qualitative guides, and conducting statistical data analysis.
  • Ability to manage research projects through their entire lifecycle, from conception to delivery.
  • The ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and a compelling narrative.
  • Understanding the future of the enterprise (technology-driven business, culture, and market shifts).
  • Preferred: experience in the private market, dealing with ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs), family enterprises, private companies, and private equity on salient topics, such as operational excellence, cross-asset class investing, good governance, sustainability, the next generation, cyber security, and philanthropy.

General qualifications:

  • Excellent executive presence and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and project-management skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate strategy to an executive audience and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the proven ability to write to a publication standard.
  • Ability to prioritize activities and manage to aggressive deliverable due dates and workplans.
  • Proven leadership, teaming, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Track record of high performance; consultative and strategic mindset; ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances and complex structures.
