350.org is looking for a Global People & Culture Associate to join our team of dedicated individuals who will be the subject matter expert and will deliver end-to-end HR processes and procedures for 350 staff based globally.

About the Global People & Culture Generalist Position

The People and Culture Associate is responsible for providing support and subject matter expertise to the P&C Department. This includes coordination of day-to-day administrative functions and special projects. The Associate will work closely with the P&C team to provide support on talent acquisition and management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, legal compliance, human capital management system administration and other human resources functions.

As a member of the People & Culture Team you will be the first point of contact and will deliver end to end P&C processes and procedures for 350 staff based in the U.K. and providing coverage/support to other regions as needed.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Post new jobs in applicant tracking system and external job boards
  • Provide assistance during the hiring process i.e. schedule interviews, conduct reference and background checks, prepare employment contracts and offer letters, etc.
  • Coordinate paperwork and other requirements related to hiring of staff through Global Employment Outsourcing provider.
  • Coordinate new hire process i.e. send and coordinate new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment forms, schedule onboarding, enter new hire information in human capital management system and benefits portals, etc.
  • Work with the P&C Team, Finance and other departments in coordinating onboarding and offboarding of staff.
  • Update job descriptions as needed.
  • Use technology (e.g. social media, applicant tracking system, job boards, etc.) to support effective and efficient approaches to sourcing and recruiting diverse staff.

Strategic Partner

  • Advise people managers on opportunities and risks relating to management actions across the ER landscape.
  • Develop strong working relationships with P&C Generalist and key HR partners including Organisational Development & JEDI. Leverage these relationships to help ensure the efficient delivery of HR processes and initiatives.
  • Coach people managers to increase their capability in managing performance of their teams ensuring that development and career plans are in place and under performance is addressed.
  • Lead and implement change management activity required to support ongoing business growth ensuring adherence to any regulatory requirements skills and experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Update payroll and global staff pay schedule and ensure information is accurate and staff are paid on time.
  • Provide assistance in benefits administration, including support during open enrollment.
  • Prepare and distribute benefits packets.

Talent Management and Development:

  • Provide assistance in scheduling and coordinating logistics during P&C training(s) and other events.
  • Prepare presentation materials i.e. PPT

HRIS Administration and others:

  • Creating reports and forming analysis to measure HR efficiency and reporting to staff
  • Maintain human capital management system (Namely, Greenhouse, etc.)
  • Support HR projects and perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
  • Maintain and update HR files.

Other tasks:

  • Check accuracy of HR vendor invoices and submit for payment.
  • Coordinate offboarding

Public Engagement:

  • Understand 350.org's history campaigns, and theory of social change, and keep current with basic climate science and policy. From time to time, use this knowledge to represent 350.org's perspective in varied public venues based on geographic location and areas of expertise.
  • From time to time, contribute work towards 350.org's overall mission that is outside of standard responsibilities and instead relies solely on geographic location or work capacity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Professionally qualified (CIPD) certification.
  • Proficient in human capital management systems, applicant tracking systems, and other HR systems.
  • 2-3 years previous experience in Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, anti-racism and/or anti-oppression work.
  • Global HR experience and familiarity with international employment laws.

Desired (but not required) Qualifications

  • Previous experience in not-for-profit.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Slack and Zoom.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Familiarity with Global Employer Organisations (GEO) or Employers-of-Record (EOR).

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely, both independently & on teams, and who is highly responsive, able to lead initiatives while also taking direction from others.

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom

Position Type: FULL TIME

Compensation: Level 1.3 GBP 48,000
