This is a newly established role to really drive focus on inventory management at a Global level. Working within the Global Supply Planning team you will work cross functionally and regionally to apply best practice inventory management techniques as well as working with our key strategic suppliers. You will provide insightful reports to senior management to track progress against set targets.
You will also partner with commercial functions to minimise our excess and obsolete inventory and provide insights and new ways of working to optimise and sustain healthy inventory levels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Global Supply Planning Director, your role will be to own and drive all things inventory. You will work Globally and look for inventory optimisation initiatives across all 4 of our Global warehouses working with our Regional Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting, in-year inventory projections and monthly performance reporting for our 4 global warehouses
  • Identifying inventory efficiency opportunities and leading cross-functional project teams through delivery, ensuring clear progress tracking and communication of risks
  • Own and manage the periodic review and refinement to finished goods safety stock parameters
  • Lead Excess & Obsolete inventory analysis and tactical action planning across all stakeholder groups
  • Manage the component SLOB process collaborating with Global Supply Planners and the Supply base to ensure timely completion and accuracy of data
  • Manage expiration date risks within the portfolio, establishing clear plan to mitigate immediate challenges and prevent reoccurrence
  • Own the publication of the finished goods inventory provision and component SLOB (slow moving and obsolete) actuals with associated insights
  • Partner with our Supply Chain Analyst to establish inventory reporting and analytics tools to provide performance insights and identify opportunities to drive further efficiencies
  • Coordinate the production of a monthly inventory reporting pack across global sites, including segmentation analysis across locations, brands, categories and ABCN ranking
  • Lead the recycling process for obsolete and expired goods out of the UK Global Distribution Centre’s
  • Manage and provide professional development to one direct report

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
  • Proven experience in similar supply chain roles, ideally within a CPG environment
  • Strong analytics and reporting background
  • Experience of leading cross functional projects and initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ‘Make it happen’ approach with operational excellence and agility to deliver results whilst controlling risk
