Job description

Belmond has been developing and implementing an Food and Beverage (F&B) strategy aligned with the company vision of being the most desirable luxury travel brand in the world.

We are looking for an outstanding Global F&B Executive to join our team based in London. The successful candidate will be involved in the implementation of many F&B projects, help enhance the guest experience and be responsible for the global F&B operational systems, including Seven Rooms, F&B Dashboard, Point of Sale (POS), Belmond app, Kitchen Cut amongst others.

The ideal candidate will have a background in F&B operations and experience in implementing new technology and software to support our properties across the world, either at property or corporate level. The candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong business acumen.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing F&B projects and be responsible for the global roll out of F&B systems
  • Maintaining system and operational integrity
  • Driving adoption rates and deliver consistent training, supporting and troubleshooting, capturing business requirements and helping to evolve the operational infrastructure to ultimately elevate the guest experience.
  • Maintaining and document global consistent configuration standards of operational systems.
  • Developing and roll out operational global training standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality of the data in the systems, rolling out any required procedures to ensure the data is right from the start.
  • Collaborating with third parties to verify and test that solutions will meet the business requirements.
  • Liaise with department heads and project leads to identify and prioritise new/existing system developments.
  • Formulate, recommend, and implement procedural guidelines, policies and standards pertaining to the overall food and beverage operations across Belmond.
  • Create focus and provide support to hotel, trains, and cruises F&B Teams with regards to improving operational F&B processes and procedures.
  • Developing and implement practises for cost control, menu engineering and F&B purchasing.
  • Identify opportunities and develop solutions to enhance the performance of specific F&B departments.
  • Collect, evaluate, and communicate F&B best practices.
  • Actively support new restaurant bar concepts ensuring ongoing success of core divisional restaurant and bar concepts.
  • Support pre-opening F&B activities.
  • Collating and analyzing data to determine opportunities or problem areas within the overall F&B strategy and provide feedback regarding the development of policies and procedures.
  • Consolidating and analyzing F&B quantitative and qualitative reports including F&B sales, F&B profit, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Collaborating with F&B Managers to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and complete various F&B projects.
  • Together with the Global F&B Director, providing support to all F&B Directors, and Executive Chefs throughout calls, in person meeting and conference calls.
  • Conducting research on new F&B trends and competitor product offerings.
  • Being involved, supervising, and evaluating service performance through guest metrics – LQA, NPS, GRI.
  • Coordinating promotional activities and F&B workshops.

Requirements

Skills and Work Experience

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Passionate about people and demonstrate a genuine desire to build a career within F&B
  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong team player.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
